Maysville Community & Technical College is looking for a Financial Aid Advisor II to join our dedicated Financial Aid team on the Montgomery Campus in Mount Sterling, KY and serve as a vital resource for our students, families, and community partners.
The Financial Aid Advisor II provides direct support in financial aid, admissions, and career guidance to current and prospective students and their families. This role ensures students understand and access available financial aid options, while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies.
You’ll also act as a key liaison for high school and GEAR UP counselors, community stakeholders, and faculty/staff—bringing clarity and support to the financial aid process.
Job Duties:
Manage daily financial aid operations at the Montgomery Campus
Advise students and families on financial aid applications, eligibility, and documentation
Communicate with students via phone, email, and in-person to complete aid files
Serve as Student Loan Coordinator, managing disbursement, reconciliation, and reporting
Monitor and award students nearing Pell Grant Lifetime Eligibility limits
Collaborate weekly with Business Office to address student account balances
Conduct presentations and workshops on financial aid and FAFSA
Support campus and off-site recruitment and registration events
Coordinate scholarships and external awards on campus
Participate in college committees and special projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years or experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
2–4 years of financial aid, student services, or higher education experience
Degree in business, accounting, management, or a related field
