Job Summary

ECTC is seeking an engaging individual with an industrial background who can provide support to the Workforce Solutions department to meet the needs of our clients. This position will teach courses, develop curriculum, and provide support in the planning/development of training plans. Ideal candidates will be diverse with experience/skills in areas such as quality management, lean manufacturing, project management, computer skills, root cause analysis, needs assessment, and industrial maintenance. Applicants may not have skills in all these areas, but a cross-section of industrial experience in multiple areas will increase your chances of selection. Automotive experience is preferable, but not mandatory.

Job Duties:

• Providing high-quality instruction to industrial clients throughout the 10-county service region
• Development/updating of curriculum to be taught or provided to other instructors
• Assisting the liaisons with the development of training plans/proposals for clients to include onsite visits to perform needs analysis
• Research new standards/practices to incorporate into training
• Attend professional development opportunities as needed to upgrade skills
• Maintain/build positive partnerships with clients and community stakeholders
• Manage projects within the department
• Report on projects/training to ensure progress toward goals
• Serve on committees as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree in a related field and 6 -8 years of experience, or equivalent (Bachelor’s and 4 - 6 years of experience).
A driver’s license is required to provide service throughout ECTC’s service region. Due to the nature of working with community partners, participation in evening/weekend events may be required.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical or problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and people skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
