Job Summary
Owensboro Community and Technical College has partnered with HealthForce Kentucky. We are seeking a Healthcare Outreach Development Coordinator, under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Education and Outreach. This position acts as a HealthForce Kentucky (HFK) liaison, coach, and pathway promoter between educational institutions, adult learners, the post-secondary partners providing education. This role will be responsible for an assigned service area and collaborating with other team members to accomplish the mission of HFK. This position is grant funded through December of 2026 with continuation contingent upon future funding.
Job Duties:
• Coordinate, build, and maintain relationships with assigned schools and organizations to ensure they are connected to respective higher-ed institutions which provide their dual-credit courses.
• Complete contact logs and progress reports with each institution, using the customer resource management tool. Provide a warm hand off or engage with teammates as appropriate.
• Develop and deliver internal employee training material related to outreach.
• Work cooperatively and collaboratively as a team member with community partners and HealthForce Kentucky.
• Coordinate scheduling with the scheduler, seek, plan, and participate in recruitment, pathways and pipeline activities and events, to include the development and coordination of recruitment initiatives and activities.
• Be the point of contact for other outreach, pathways, and pipeline specialists.
• Work in conjunction with schools and work in tandem HealthForce educators and operations specialists to provide services for career days, info sessions, etc. to assigned schools and activities.
• Promote the utilization of HealthForce Kentucky tools and physical resources to users within the assigned region and within the mission of HealthForce Kentucky.
• Once a client is ready to schedule a “custom event” a warm hand off is provided to the education and operations team for development.
• Plan into the future one to one and a half semesters for schools. Event preparation six weeks ahead and event management a minimum of two weeks ahead to ensure resources are available and engage resources at an average level of 50%.
• Become knowledgeable about available services within the assigned region(s) and seek opportunities to share such information with HealthForce teammates.
• Lead efforts for social media marketing, website, newsletter, and sharing of appropriate information with the public.
• Function as a community liaison within service area communities including local governments, chambers of commerce, area technology centers, career centers, etc.
• Supervise and participate in committees and special projects as assigned.
• Travel up to 75% of the time with occasional overnight stays. A valid driver’s license is required.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communication, Business Administration, Healthcare, or similar with four (4) years of relevant work experience or the equivalent.
OR
Associate’s degree in marketing/communication, Business Administration, Healthcare, or similar with six (6) years of relevant work experience.
