Job Summary

Maysville Community and Technical College is currently seeking a full time, 12-month term contract position that will cover the Harrison County service areas for a Workforce Liaison III. The Workforce Liaison III is responsible for serving the needs of business and industry in the areas of workforce development and training. Duties include identifying prospects, selling and implementing training and services to the business community, networking with local business and industry organizations, helping to recruit prospective students and businesses for Earn +Learn and Apprenticeships, insuring training and related services are delivered to customer satisfaction and tracking sales. This position reports to the Director of Workforce Solutions and works collaboratively with others in the department. The position is responsible for helping to generate funds for financially supporting the operations of the department and will be housed on the Licking Valley Campus in Cynthiana, KY.

Job Duties:

-Prospect for new client acquisition through networking, events, referrals, and cold calls.
-Conduct discovery meetings with prospective businesses and industries to determine training needs and develop training plans based on college offerings.
-Develop project proposals based on determined needs and submit to clients.
-Close sales and write KCTCS TRAINS project if applicable.
-Coordinate with or hire adjunct instructors to deliver workforce trainings and negotiate salaries.
-Oversee and implement the design, development, and delivery of training programs to business and industry.
-Follow-up with clients after training is completed to ensure satisfaction.
-Update sales pipelines each month and track prospects, contracts sold and completed projects.
-Plan and implement open enrollment courses and events relating to the business community.
-Manage budget for business and industry training programs in conjunction with the Director of Community, Workforce and Economic Development.
-Participate in internal/external service efforts through committees and works on other college projects when needed.
-Meet the annual goals and expectations as outlined on the Performance, Planning and Evaluation document.
-Work collaboratively with internal and external committees to help recruit and refer students for Earn +Learn in the designated region.
-Occasional travel to workforce peer team meetings or workforce events throughout the state. Possibly one overnight trip per year.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 4-6 years of experience.
Administrative, Business, Human Resources, Communication or Sales background is helpful but not required.
