Job Summary
HCTC invites applications for the position of Admissions Counselor II. The Admissions Counselor II will recruit and manage a caseload of prospective students. Key responsibilities are to be provided onsite at the Lee Adjustment Center, rehabilitation centers, and other general locations in HCTC’s northern service counties (Breathitt, Lee, Wolfe, and Owsley).
Job Duties:
Duties will include but not be limited to:
•Manage a caseload of prospective students from application through enrollment
•Conduct proactive outreach (phone, text, email) to assist students in completing admissions steps
•Identify and resolve barriers to enrollment including missing documents, placement testing, and financial aid requirements
•Maintain consistent follow-up to improve application completion and enrollment rates
•Support daily operations of the Admissions Office, including document tracking and student communication
•Utilize REACH CRM to track student interactions, manage communication workflows, and monitor enrollment pipelines
•Ensure accurate and timely data entry for all student engagement activities
•Assist with high school visits, college fairs, FAFSA events, and community outreach activities
•Represent HCTC at on- and off-campus recruitment events
•Assist in planning and executing recruitment and enrollment events (e.g., campus events, road shows, fairs) including setup, registration, and student engagement
•Work collaboratively with Admissions, Financial Aid, Advising, and Student Services to support student success
•Assist with special population initiatives, including workforce programs and re-entry initiatives
•Identify trends and communicate barriers impacting student enrollment
•Perform other duties as assigned in support of enrollment and institutional priorities
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree + 2 years related experience or equivalent.

Individuals with counseling or criminal justice backgrounds and/or an interest in serving at-risk student populations.
