Job Summary
Gateway Community and Technical College invites applications for the Federal Work Study (Student Only) part-time position of Social Media Assistant. This position will support the department with daily work related to social media, photography, videography, and content editing.
Job Duties:
Student will assist the Marketing & Communications staff with daily work such as social media, photography, videography, content editing, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Social media content creation
Taking photos/videos at student events
Creating engaging captions and giveaways for social media posts; encouraging student engagement
Helping with student interviews for various marketing/communication pieces
Simple graphic design projects
General office support
Other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledgeable of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Power Point, Excel, and others.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Dependable and able to stick to a work schedule
Prefer knowledge/familiarity with Canva
