Gateway Community and Technical College invites applications to our Arts & Sciences Instructor Adjunct Pool. Adjunct instructors will work collaboratively with students, fellow faculty, and staff to ensure the education needs of the individual learner are met. They will work to empower students to be fully engaged in the classroom learning environment, promoting growth, and academic development.

The Division of Arts and Sciences offers courses in Art, Biology, English, History, Philosophy, Psychology, and Mathematics, and provides many general education classes which are designed to accommodate transfer.
Job Duties:
Provide instruction and familiarize students with the specific areas of study.
Provide instruction to students in both theory and practice in their respective field(s).
Maintenance and care of classrooms, labs & training materials will also be expected.
Keep abreast of changes in their field and help keep the programs updated.
Technical positions provide students with the background, knowledge, and basic skills needed to function effectively on the job.
Preferred candidates would be able to teach at various levels to help support their programs. Candidates should be energetic, enthusiastic, and have an in-depth understanding of the principles in their discipline or field.

Minimum Qualifications:
General Education classes require a Master's degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours).

Ability to communicate clearly verbally and, in writing.
Ability to multi-task, work under deadlines, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines with high levels of efficiency and accuracy.
Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Word).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in and understanding of working with students from diverse populations is preferred.
Experience working at the community college level is preferred.
