Job Summary
Big Sandy Community & Technical College is seeking a dedicated KNAT/CNA Program Coordinator/Staff Instructor to lead and facilitate Nurse Aide (NAA 100), Advanced CNA (ACNA), and Medication Nurse Aide courses. This twelve-month position resides in the Workforce Solutions department and plays a vital role in training and preparing students for state certification exams and ensuring compliance with Medicaid regulations.
Job Duties:
• Instruction: Teach NAA 100, ACNA, Phlebotomy and Medication Nurse Aide courses each semester; prepare students for state certification exams.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain program compliance with Medicaid rules, manage training site requirements, schedule and document NAA/KMA testing and manage the phlebotomy program.
• Student Success: Monitor student progress, provide support for retention and completion, and assist at-risk students.
• Industry Engagement: Review MOAs for clinical rotations and promote program opportunities to healthcare partners.
• Supervision: Direct supervision of 4 staff members (KNAT Testing Staff and Adjunct Faculty)
• Other Duties assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing (required).
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience must include 2 years in a long-term care facility and 1 year in an approved Medicaid long-term care facility.

Registered Nurse (RN) license
