Job Summary
The Nursing Division of Jefferson Community and Technical College has an opening for a Medicaid Nurse Aide Instructor on the Southwest Campus. This position will be responsible for classroom didactic and clinical instruction.
Job Duties:
Duties include but are not limited to: • Teach a full load of MNA classes as assigned per semester. • Assist with conducting MNA testing at all testing sites for the dedicated region. • Assist Coordinator with developing, planning, and preparing schedule for MNA and KMA classes. • Monitors and enforces compliance with all federal and state regulations and guidelines pertaining to the MNA and KMA programs in classes taught. • Works with Coordinator to keep accurate, complete, up-to-date and on-site training and testing records for the MNA and KMA program for five (5) years. • Serves as a liaison in conjunction with Coordinator to internal and external agencies to promote the program. • Other duties as assigned to meet the Federal and State requirements for the program. •This position requires the ability to work in a culturally diverse environment, which consists of frequent contact with a diverse constituency of students, faculty, staff, and the public.
Minimum Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (Associate level or higher) who has a current license in Kentucky or a current license in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state and has a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an RN, with at least one (1) year of full-time experience in the provision of long-term care services. Experience in, and understanding of the importance of, working with students from diverse backgrounds required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Recent experience teaching an MNA course. Completion of MOI(Methods of Instruction) Training.
