Salary Range: $24 / Hour

Contract Term Length: Not Applicable

Job Summary

Assist Gateway leadership in public safety and emergency preparedness for the campus by coordinating and implementing a variety of safety and security programs.

Job Duties:

  • Coordinates training for faculty and staff on various safety topics.
  • Coordinates workplace safety programs and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Serves as point of contact for routine issues with contracted security and helps update systems for physical security including but not limited to keys, surveillance camera systems and electronic access control.
  • Conducts safety assessments, investigations and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates’ degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, ability to work independently and adapt seamlessly to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Skilled in engaging and supporting students from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Forms, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word). 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a community college setting
  • BLS/CPR certification
  • OSHA knowledge and/or certification
  • Experience with security operations
