Job Summary
Owensboro Community and Technical College is hiring a full-time Advancement Specialist in our Institutional Advancement Department. This position facilitates relationships between the college, community members, and local businesses that respond to the community’s education, workforce, and economic needs.
Job Duties:
• Provide administrative support for the Chief Institutional Officer and other Advancement staff members. Assist the OCTC Foundation in preparing for regular meetings. • Record gifts to the college in contributor relations software, follow up with donors on pledges, and maintain confidentiality. Process Emergency Student Loans for students in need. • Provide outreach and manage special Advancement Functions such as the Trailblazer Dinner, Alumni Events, Donor Celebrations, and OCTC Restaurant Nights. • Compile and maintain information included in the annual report, assist with compilation of direct appeals and Foundation communication cycle. Schedule gift presentations and facilitate donor recognition stewardship. • Prepare and manage all Social Media outreach for Campaigns, Alumni Outreach, Advancement Events, and the Advancement Office. • Provide front line assistance for those who need services from the Advancement Office.
Minimum Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree and two (2) year of relevant work experience or its equivalent is required. The equivalent would be associate degree and four (4) years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) preferred.
