Job Summary
Bluegrass Community and Technical College, Winchester- Clark County Campus is seeking a qualified applicant for a full-time 10-month appointment to teach Medical-Surgical (Adult Health) content. The ability to work effectively with our team of educators is essential to success in this position and to the growth of our Nursing Division.
Job Duties:
Participate in instructional presentation and delivery; the planning and designing of instructional programs, instructional evaluation, and assessment
Assist in the design and update of course syllabi, curriculum review, revision, and development
Incorporate the latest instructional technologies and interactive learning technologies in course delivery
Assume a participative role in supporting and promoting the mission, goals, and objectives of the college by performing the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the leadership of the program, division, and college
Be responsible for teaching pre-licensure nursing students in the classroom, clinical and skills laboratory settings each semester as needed
Help recruit students for the program by serving on the Outreach and Recruitment committee
Advise students who are in the program
Monitor and improve student retention
Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff
Participate in faculty committees and other activities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (MSN complete within five years)
Must have active, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in Nursing degree preferred.
